Is there a seasonal snow fall limit?
Our contract covers up to a total accumulated snowfall amount of 250 cm.
What happens if the limit is reached?
We have a surcharge for accumulations beyond this limit. The surcharge is a flat rate $25(+HST). There is also an option to “opt-out” of service after 250 cm but must be indicated on your contract under “other terms”.
How do you track how much snow we’ve received?
We base our limit off the annual snow accumulation recordings provided by the Mac- Donald Cartier international airport website.
Does Ottawa usually go over the 250 cm cap?
Ottawa’s average accumulation is 210 cm, and we have only gone over 250 cm three times in the past 20 years.
